Adkev Inc. Earns 2007 Summit Award at Consona Customer Conference

Company Uses DTR™ ERP to Double Its Business; Wins Best Overall Use Award
  

ORLANDO, INDIANAPOLIS and Goodland, Ind., Oct. 16, 2007—Consona Corporation (Consona), a worldwide leader in providing customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and services for the enterprise, announced at its premier customer conference, Consona Connect, that Adkev Inc., a Goodland, Ind.-based DTR ERP customer and tier-two automotive supplier and injection molder, is the 2007 recipient of the software provider’s Best Overall Use Award.

The Best Overall Use Award, part of Consona’s annual Summit Awards, honors a customer that has demonstrated excellence in utilizing multiple products (modules, features, add-on, third-party) and services from Consona. Recipients of the award submit both qualitative and quantitative data that illustrate how the solution has improved the customer’s overall business performance. Award recipients display full use of both core and add-on solutions, steady business growth, a strong return on investment, and a passion for implementing and mastering new technologies.

With an older system in place, Adkev was unable to support automotive supplier requirements to the extent needed. Some of the key challenges the company wanted to address included gaining the ability to receive and process EDI orders effectively, getting better control of inventory and production schedules for on-time delivery, and improving its ability to meet automotive industry quality and documentation requirements.

As Adkev evaluated ERP systems, the team quickly realized that DTR ERP offered all of the functionality the company needed, including inventory, bills of material, accounting, payroll and customer service. The DTR solution also offered interfaces and working partnerships with leading suppliers of EDI and barcode capabilities. Soon after implementing the DTR solution, the company had:

• Doubled the size of the business, including expanding the plant three times, hiring more production staff, and adding a second facility, with no increase to non-production staff.
• Achieved significant administrative time savings, reducing order handling time by 50 percent.
• Established real-time, accurate inventory and location control.
• Enabled EDI with major automotive customers.
